Megan Henkes, MA, LPC, NCC | Clinical Director
Megan earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, with dual licensure in School Counseling and Licensed Professional Counseling. She connects deeply with the WKC core value of Compassion, which she sees as the grounding force that allows us to hold space for others with empathy and respect. Compassion encourages us to respond to more than just behaviors—it invites us to understand the whole person. Megan also values Fun, recognizing its power to build trust and connection with children. At Whole Kids Co., she believes fun creates an engaging, safe, and collaborative environment for both kids and staff.
Erin Hess, LCSW | Counseling Manager
Erin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2015, followed by her Master’s in 2017, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) that same year. Her career has been centered on direct care with individuals and families, with a background in parent–child therapy, substance abuse treatment, and supporting victims of domestic violence and trafficking. Since joining Whole Kids in 2019—with TBRI training already under her belt—Erin knew she had found the right place. She has a deep passion for meeting people where they are and helping them get to where they want to be, which is why Compassion is the WKC value that resonates with her most.
Psychology Department
Timothy Myers, Psy.D, Ph.D
Timothy is the sole psychologist at Whole Kids Co., specializing in pediatric neuropsychological evaluations. He brings a rich academic background to his work, holding a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge, an EdM in Mind, Brain & Education from Harvard University, an EdM in Education from Cambridge College, and a BS in Elementary Education from Nelson University. Timothy’s approach is rooted in a deep understanding of how the brain, learning, and emotional development intersect—especially in children and adolescents. The WKC value that resonates most with Timothy is Integrity, as he believes that doing things for the right reasons and with the right motives forms the foundation of trustworthy and ethical care.
Ruan Spies, Ph.D
Ruan earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands), his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from North-West University (South Africa), as well as an Honours B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Communication and Psychology, also from North-West University.
He has a deep appreciation for psychological theory and how it informs empirical evaluation results and treatment planning. Ruan enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and values the privilege of entering and understanding each client’s unique psychological world.
His favorite WKC value is Wholeness, which resonates with a quote from Carl Jung: “I would rather be whole than good. Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one's being, but by integration of the contraries.” He believes meaningful growth happens through integration—honoring all parts of a person’s experience rather than fragmenting them.

Robert Maley, LPC
Dr. Robert earned his Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialty in Counseling Studies from Capella University. He resonates most with the WKC value of Wholeness, as he believes it creates opportunities for individuals to live enriched, fulfilling lives.
Tiffany Edwards, MSW, LSW
Tiffany is a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background in mental health, including experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Winona State University and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Tiffany supports clients of all ages and has a particular passion for working with teenagers and adults. She uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and strength-based interventions to guide clients through life’s challenges. She also enjoys supporting parents as they navigate the complexities of family life. Tiffany connects most with the value of Wholeness, she believes in showing up authentically, creating space for others to do the same, and building a therapeutic relationship that honors the whole person.
Patrick Ural, LPC
Patrick holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. He specializes in play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), anger management, and trauma. His favorite WKC value is Compassion. While there may be some standardization from a diagnostic standpoint, Patrick believes it's essential to treat each situation as unique. Viewing a case through a compassionate lens allows providers to better meet individual needs and support clients in navigating life’s struggles.
Nicole Thomas, MSW, SWC
Nicole earned her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. Her areas of interest include the neuroscience of attachment, Polyvagal Theory, child-centered play therapy, somatic healing, psychoeducation, and parent support. She has additional training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), and trauma-informed care. Nicole’s favorite WKC values are Compassion and Fun—compassion, because it’s the foundation for building safe, trusting spaces for healing, and fun, because life is too short not to enjoy the process.
Courtney Gracely, LPCC
Courtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with experience in both school settings and social services. She is passionate about supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Courtney draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based practices, and narrative therapy. Courtney connects most with the value of Integrity, believing that being an integrous person is the foundation of building trusting and meaningful relationships with others.
Hannah Scheible, LSW
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, both from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She incorporates trauma-informed care, as well as CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. Her favorite WKC value is Wholeness, because she believes true healing and purpose begin with meeting all human needs from the ground up. As a social worker, she strives to empower clients through connection, community, and self-understanding.
Carmina Blasko, MA, LPC, NCCCarmina earned her BA from California State University, Fullerton and her MA in Counseling from Regis University. She specializes in Child & Adolescent Counseling and is passionate about supporting young people through a holistic lens. The WKC value that resonates most with her is Wholeness. She integrates techniques that promote wellness across the mind, body, spirit, emotional, and social domains.
Ashlyn Averitt, LSW
Ashlyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University and is a Licensed Social Worker. She is passionate about supporting children and teens through life’s challenges, drawing from her experience in both mental health and hospice care to bring compassion and flexibility to her work at Whole Kids Co. Ashlyn incorporates Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a person-centered approach to create a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth. Her favorite WKC value is Compassion, as she believes empathy and understanding are at the core of meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Taylor Swiontek, LSW
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Concordia College Minnesota and a Master of Social Work from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and is actively working toward her LCSW. Her professional background includes experience in child protection and substance-use support services. Taylor utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), grounding her work in a strengths-based perspective that highlights each individual’s resilience, abilities, and potential.
Her favorite WKC value is Compassion, as she believes every individual deserves to be met with empathy, understanding, and dignity—and she strives to bring that principle into every interaction and relationship she builds.
Lori-Ann McConnell, LCSW
Lori-Ann earned her Bachelor’s degree from Providence College and her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama. She specializes in trauma-informed care, including EMDR, play therapy, and support for individuals experiencing anxiety, autism, ADHD, and CEN (Childhood Emotional Neglect). Her favorite WKC value is Compassion. Lori-Ann believes kindness and compassion are the cornerstones of a healthy, supportive community—creating spaces where individuals feel safe to heal, grow, and thrive.
