Who is a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)?
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), or “Speech Therapist,” specializes in evaluating and treating communication and feeding disorders. Their training includes:
- 4 years of undergraduate education
- 2 years of graduate education
- 1 year Clinical Fellowship under supervision
SLPs work with individuals of all ages (infancy to adulthood) in various settings, including schools, home health, hospitals, clinics, and memory care facilities.
